A Centennial project, “Friendship Station” covers 15,000 sq. ft. and is 90% handicap accessible. It needed the combined efforts of three Rotary clubs from the area — The South Bend Rotary Club, The South Gateway Rotary Club and the Granger Rotary Club. These clubs are combined their efforts to make “Friendship Station” a world-class play area for the children of South Bend. The South Bend Board
of Park Commissioners made available the valuable land on which “Friendship
Station” rests. Thanks to all who contributed their time, talent and
dollars. It made a difference! |
